Frank Gehry

Frank Gehry is an architect who designs buildings with a signature style marked by organic forms and curved surfaces.  One particularly famous building of his is the Guggenheim Museum (first photo).  Over spring break, I saw one of his buildings, the Weisman Art Museum, which is on the campus of the University of Minnesota (second photo).  Gehry’s sketches are really interesting; the loose, flowing shapes are the opposite of the straight, precise lines typically associated with architectural drawing.
